Is the city of Hamilton a viable market for an NHL franchise?

Just watch the TSN/The Globe & Mail third installment of “Why not Canada” reporting on “Is the city of Hamilton a viable market for an NHL franchise?” Report was fair enough but what is up with Hamilton’s final score of D+? Social Media Day

I checked out Social Media Day tonight in Hamilton at Vibewranglers Studio. Great crowd and some good speakers. What struck me most was the demographics. They ranged from early 20′s to early 60′s. The gap is really closing and I think that that will play a crucial roll in what social media will look like in the future. As the generational gap rears it’s ugly head as history shows, I’m certain major user adjustments will follow. Lets face it, nothing is more uncool then your parents or little sister listening to your music. So how long will it be before the facebooks, twitters, foursquares etc splinter off to try and cater to each generation of computer users and somehow add age-group blocking features to keep want-to-be’s out. We are just not meant to share the same things with our little sister, aunt, teacher and grandparents well remaining edgy and cool!

What do you think of Toronto Police Services Handling the G20 Summit?

Toronto Police Services were in a no win postion. I think the media made more of it then it actually was and that under the circumstances the police officers showed a great degree of professionalism and restraint. Personally, after seeing what some of the protesters were doing I think I would have had a hard time holding back if I was in their position. Plus, it is not great strategy to give away all of your tactics, specially when the story is still developing.  Air your thoughts and comments on Toronto Police Services or more specifically Chief of Police Bill Blair’s handling of the G20 Summit at wikiDOMO.com

Open Marektplace Manifesto

Have you read the Open Marketplace Manifesto? Is this the future of the markeplace? Will marketplace information truly become democratized? I beleive that the tipping point has arrived and in the next decade we will see a complete overhaul of the “massive marketing-industrial complex”.
